TO CREATE A ROADWAY SAFETY ACTION PLAN FOR THE CITY OF CEDARTOWN TO IMPROVE PEDESTRIAN, CYCLIST, AND MOTORIST SAFETY IN HIGH-TRAFFIC AREAS BY INCREASING SAFETY AWARENESS AND EDUCATION EFFORTS, IMPLEMENTING ACCESSIBLE SIDEWALKS AND BIKE LANES, AND UPGRADING TRAFFIC MITIGATION STRATEGIES AND EQUIPMENT WITH A SPECIFIC FOCUS ON DOWNTOWN AND ADJACENT CORRIDORS. THE ACTION PLAN WILL ALSO PROVIDE FOUNDATIONS FOR ROADWAY SAFETY EDUCATION PROGRAMS AND PUBLIC INFORMATION INITIATIVES.
