PURPOSE: THE EQUITABLE SHARING PROGRAM ENHANCES COOPERATION AMONGST FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL, AND TRIBAL LAW ENFORCEMENT BY PROVIDING VALUABLE ADDITIONAL RESOURCES TO THE STATE, LOCAL OR TRIBAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES THAT DIRECTLY PARTICIPATED IN THE LAW ENFORCEMENT EFFORT RESULTING IN THE FEDERAL FORFEITURE. ACTIVITIES TO BE PERFORMED: EQUITABLY SHARED FUNDS ARE TO BE USED FOR AUTHORIZED LAW ENFORCEMENT PURPOSES PURSUANT TO 31 USC 9705 AND TREASURY GUIDELINES.
